These custom made replacement beat scales are of the highest quality and are not available from any clock parts supplier. Each scale is accurately reproduced from the original and has exceptional detail. They are printed on 110 pound. cardstock which is then laminated to high-quality, acid free, four ply, white vellum artboard. 5 coats of satin sheen clear acrylic is applied (except on the metallics) after which each scale is meticulously cut out by hand and the edges burnished, coloured if needed and finished. The backs are also acrylic finished to prevent the invasion of moisture which causes warping. Some beat scales shown are available without a maker name which makes them usable on a variety of clocks. The Waterbury scale has a length of 2-7/8" , the Ansonia (straight) 3-7/8", the Ansonia (curved) 5-3/8" , the Seth Thomas 3-3/4" , the Kroeber 3" long and the New Haven 4.7" long. The overall thickness of each scale is 1/16" which offers good rigidity and flatness and makes them suitable for mounting on the clock backboard with either screws or escutcheon nails (not included). The metallic silver resembles pewter and the metallic gold has the appearance of brass. Some of the scales are not shown in White but are available if requested.
